Geri Halliwell and George Michael have forgotten past differences and joined up to host a concert raising money for charity. They fell out a couple of years ago but have now put together the gig at London’s Royal Albert Hall. The former Spice Girl, patron of Breast Cancer Care, has used her showbiz connections to get other big stars to perform for free, too.
As well as George and Geri, Jamelia, Blue and Katie Meula will sing in the September 19 gig, to be broadcast by Five. The concert, sponsored by Asda, is part of the Tickled Pink campaign, which aims to help various breast cancer causes. Geri is a supporter as she once had a breast cancer scare. The campaign is a personal one for George too — he lost his beloved mother to the disease several years ago.
Geri will use the gig to unveil her new single as well as testing other new material. A pal said: "She is desperate to get back on stage."
