Geri came in at number four this week. This might seem disappointing to us fans, but please keep in mind that there are many acts out there that never even make the top 10. Number four isn't what we were expecting, but is still an achievement after being gone from the music scene for nearly four years. Below is a complete layout of this weeks charts - thanks to Contact Music. DESTINY'S CHILD's comeback tune LOSE MY BREATH is being kept off the top of the UK singles chart for the second week in a row, by British band GIRLS ALOUD. GIRLS ALOUD, who formed two years ago (02) on TV talent show POPSTARS, re-recorded the PRETENDERS' I'LL STAND BY YOU for BBC's CHILDREN IN NEED charity and are thrilled it beat the original's chart position of number 10 in 1994. LEMAR, who also rose to fame through a reality television series - BBC's FAME ACADEMY - stayed at number three with IF THERE'S ANY JUSTICE. GERI HALLIWELL made number four with RIDE IT, followed by NELLY and CHRISTINA AGUILERA'S TILT YA HEAD BACK.

Geri saddles up for a racy performance at a gay club - on the back of a horse. The singer, who is back to her more curvaceous self, wore a black leather corset and matching thigh-high boots. The 32-year-old was invited along to stirr-up the crowd at GAY to help celebrate the London club's second anniversary. A shivering huddle of shoppers dressed in curly wigs and bunny ears braved the rain to meet Geri Halliwell yesterday. It may have been a far cry from her Spice Girls heyday but some fans travelled from as far afield as Spain to catch a glimpse of their pop idol. The pint-sized pop star arrived in style at the Woolworths store in Western Road, Brighton, where she was signing copies of her latest single, Ride It, yesterday. Stepping out of a limousine she was immediately surrounded by a crowd of bouncers who escorted her into the store. Fans who had queued from lunchtime craned their necks to get a glimpse of their idol as she strutted past, her trademark ginger curls bobbing. With a string of pearls around her neck and a pair of black leather gloves adding a touch of class to her outfit, Geri's image was a world away from her early days when she was seen bursting out of a Union Flag dress. One besotted fan, Juanma Surian, 22, was not put off by the wet weather and less-than-glamorous location. He had flown from Valencia in Spain to ask her to sign copies of the new pop tune as well as older singles from her Spice Girls past. He said: "I have always loved the Spice Girls but they never came to Spain very much. The only chance I had to see Geri was to come here. My friends think I am a bit mad." The crowd of 200 was a smaller reception than Geri was used to when she was in the Spice Girls. Only a handful had followed her request to dress up. Two men dressed as Tigger and Winnie the Pooh turned a few heads as they hurried along Western Road clutching Geri merchandise. Once inside, Geri made her way through the aisles of children's toys into the canteen at the back of the shop while previous hits such as It's Raining Men blared through the loudspeakers. She posed for pictures, pouting and giving the photographers a cheeky smile. Brighton is the only place where Geri has been signing copies of her latest single. She said: "It is lovely to be here. I used to come here as a child and I remember sitting on the beach playing with the pebbles." One cluster of girls had bought their bunny ears after hearing about Geri's appearance while shopping. Ruth Palmer, 15, of Waldegrave Road, Brighton, said: "I have always been a big fan of the Spice Girls so I was quite excited to hear Geri was coming. We heard we had to dress up so we bought these ears to make an effort." First in the queue was performing arts student Jessica Csere, 16, of Wilbury Gardens, Hove. She said: "I love Geri Halliwell. She is a really lovely person and her music is brilliant."

Geri Halliwell has revealed the secret to keeping her curves - wearing a bra in bed. The 32-year-old singer has been praised for keep a firm chest and flat stomach. She said: "The key for me is that since I was 19 I've worn a bra in bed," she told Heat magazine. "It really stops gravity taking its toll." Geri also revealed that her favourite glamour picture is from a modeling assignment when she was 21 and photographed topless in Majorca. Moneybags Roman Abramovich is splashing out oodles of rubles on Geri for a private gig on Christmas day. The ex-Spice Girl is being flown out to Moscow to sing to staff who work for the Chelsea football tycoon. Geri will pick up a whopping £400,000 for the one-off concert near Red Square - and she won't miss her turkey dinner because she'll only on stage for 45 minutes. To celebrate the release of her latest single, Ride It, Geri Halliwell is holding a fancy dress signing session in Brighton on Monday. The ex-Spice Girl, all set to return to the charts with a bang, will be in Woolworths, 181-185 Western Road, Brighton from 6pm-8pm on November 22nd. Discussing her new release, Geri said: "I'd like to think of Ride It as a real feel good song that has a little bit of something for everyone. A song that that the girls would put on to get ready to before a night out, and it's a little bit sexy for the boys. I've heard it goes down well in the clubs too, which is of course fantastic news!" Simon Cowell is hardly a stranger to criticising people, but then Geri Halliwell is hardly a stranger to being criticised. However, Geri wants to know why the X Factor judge took it upon himself to publicly berate her. A source revealed: "Geri's written Simon a note asking him why he's being so unpleasant to her. She wants to know why he's got it in for her. She feels his attack was unprovoked and unnecessary," reports FemaleFirst. Cowell announced last week: "I just don't think she has got it. It all looks and sounds very juvenile. At the end of the day, it's about selling albums, and I just don't know anyone who'd want to buy a Geri Halliwell album." Not only is her music substandard and undesirable to the public (in Cowell's opinion), but Geri also made herself look "foolish" by becoming a UN ambassador. Geri Halliwell thinks her dogs are gay. The pop star believes her pet Shih Tzu Harry has been getting frisky with her Pomeranian Daddy.She told ITV1's This Morning: "They are always kissing each other - but are both boys!" This is not the first time Geri's pooches have hit the headlines. She earlier admitted that one of them had once "done a mess" on Tony Blair's floor. She admitted that Harry was caught short on a visit to the Prime Minister's countryside residence, Chequers and ended up going on his carpet. Geri reportedly sacked a dancer after discovering he used to work for her former Spice Girls pal Emma Bunton. The unnamed performer was helping Halliwell promote her latest pop comeback, but upon learning of his employment history, Halliwell replaced him in the fear he'd hinder her quest for success. A source tells Britain's Daily Star newspaper, "The guy was surprised when he got a call from his agent telling him his services were no longer required after he'd already done (British TV music shows) CD:UK and Top of the Pops with Geri. Geri loves meeting her fans and even gives them gifts to thank them for their support. The singer is appreciative of the efforts her admirers go to for her and, although she would never date one, she likes to reward them. She says, "I've got some great fans. "Once, two of them were standing outside my house, so I gave one some shoes and the other a teddy (stuffed bear)." It is also reported that G-A-Y has ordered several hundred "G" suckers as seen in the "Ride It" video, to be handed out to fans leaving the club this weekend. Pop beauty Geri was almost killed when a bus crashed into her Mercedes as she was travelling to a TV studio for an interview last night. Geri narrowly escaped injury when a double-decker bus hit the luxury car she was travelling in and she was visibly shaken on British show Saturday Night Takeaway several hours later, reports British newspaper The Sunday Mirror. 32-year-old former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell has reportedly been on several dates with ex-Pop Idol contestant Darius Danesh, 24. A friend of Darius informed the News of the World: "She's fallen for him very hard and very quickly. She even says Darius is the man of her dreams. "They may seem like an odd couple but it looks like the real thing. Geri has been swooning that Darius is absolutely gorgeous." The couple got together at the Tickled Pink charity event for breast cancer in October where they both made appearances. Darius recently split from actress Natasha Henstridge, while Geri's past exploits in her love life have included Robbie Williams and Chris Evans.
