Simon Cowell is hardly a stranger to criticising people, but then Geri Halliwell is hardly a stranger to being criticised. However, Geri wants to know why the X Factor judge took it upon himself to publicly berate her.
A source revealed: "Geri's written Simon a note asking him why he's being so unpleasant to her. She wants to know why he's got it in for her.
She feels his attack was unprovoked and unnecessary," reports FemaleFirst.
Cowell announced last week: "I just don't think she has got it. It all looks and sounds very juvenile.
At the end of the day, it's about selling albums, and I just don't know anyone who'd want to buy a Geri Halliwell album."
Not only is her music substandard and undesirable to the public (in Cowell's opinion), but Geri also made herself look "foolish" by becoming a UN ambassador.
He informed Star magazine: "You make a complete fool of yourself taking on something you know nothing about.
A good example was when Geri Halliwell became spokesperson for the United Nations. I just thought: 'It's like asking me to lecture NASA on rocket physics!'
You make yourself look foolish."
