Geri Halliwell, one of the UK's most recognized and successful female performers, has today announced her first ever solo UK tour.
The 'Live Tour 2005' will see Geri take to the road in the UK & Ireland with her spectacular new show.
Her fans will be able to see her at the following venues: The Point, Dublin (3rd May), Waterfront , Belfast (4th May),Clyde Auditorium, Glasgow (6th May), Playhouse, Edinburgh (9th May), Press & Journal Arena, Aberdeen (13th May), Carling Apollo, Manchester (14th May), NIA Academy, Birmingham (18th May), Pavilions, Plymouth (21st May), Centre, Brighton (22nd May) Hammersmith Carling Apollo, London (24th May), Dome, Doncaster (27th May), Opera House, Blackpool (28th May) and CIA, Cardiff (29th May).
Geri's career started as part of the pop phenomenon the Spice Girls. Geri, commonly known as 'Ginger Spice' was notorious for her provocative wardrobe and saucy behavior. After leaving the band in 1998, Geri became a UN Goodwill ambassador, and spokeswoman for Breast Cancer awareness. When Geri finally returned to music, her debut single 'Look At Me' entered the charts at number Two, and debut album 'Schizophonic' followed suit, ultimately going platinum
Geri has gone on to notch up five solo UK number one hits. Add this to the six she had with the Spice Girls, and Geri holds the record for the most number one's by a female artist in the UK .
Her third solo studio album, her first in three years, is due for release early in 2005, and has already spawned the top five hit ‘Ride It’.
This unique show will see Geri perform current hits, nostalgic tracks, and just a few surprises!
This tour will give Geri's fans a chance to see this undeniably talented singer live on stage for the first time, and enjoy the dynamic stage presence she brings to every performance. It's a show that the girls on the street (and the boys on the dance floor) won't want to miss!
